On your phone: share the product to Olaf

This is the simplest way. From a product page — in your browser, a shop's app or even a message — tap your phone's Share button, then pick Olaf Wishlist. The app opens and fills in the title, price and photo for you.

All that's left is to choose where the idea goes: one of your private lists, a public list or a Memo — or a loved one's list, to let others know about the gift you plan to give them. If the product is already on the list, Olaf tells you and offers to open the existing idea. The app needs to be installed to show up among your sharing options.

On a computer: one click with the extension

On a computer, install the Olaf extension in your browser (Chrome, Firefox or Edge). On a product page, one click on its icon is enough: it sees the page exactly as you do and prepares the gift idea with its title, price and photo. You choose the list, and it's added.

Otherwise: paste the product link

Only have a product's link, sent to you in a message for instance? In the form for adding a gift idea, on the website or in the app, paste it and press Load. A few seconds later, the title, price and photo appear in the form.

You check before saving

Olaf prepares the gift idea, but you have the final say: you can correct the title, price or photo before saving, or later by editing the idea. Handy if the title is too long, if the price shown is a sale price rather than the usual one, or if you'd prefer another picture.

When a page offers several pieces of information, Olaf automatically keeps the most complete ones. There's nothing for you to set up.

When a shop puts up a fight

Olaf works on the vast majority of online shops, from big retailers to small independent stores. If a page doesn't give up its information first time, Olaf automatically tries another way, in the background, without holding up your browsing.

In the rare cases where nothing comes through, fill in the title and price yourself: the link stays saved, and your loved ones will find the product in one click.

When a site asks for a quick check

A few online shops ask you to confirm you're a real person before showing their pages. On mobile, Olaf then offers to open the page so you can get past that check: after that, the name, price and photo come through as usual.

You stay in control. If you'd rather not, just add the link and fill in the details yourself.
