Add mode — automatic extraction from any site

Add mode is the extension's main feature. When you are on a product page — on any e-commerce site — clicking the Olaf icon in your toolbar triggers automatic extraction of the product: title, price, image and URL are retrieved and pre-filled in the add form.

You then choose the destination list (private list, public list or Memo), optionally add a priority or comment, and confirm. The item is added instantly, synchronised in real time for all your group members. All without leaving the product page.

Despite Olaf's best efforts, some information may not be perfectly retrieved depending on the sites you visit. You can always review and correct the details before confirming.

Reserve mode — match detection

Reserve mode turns your browsing into a smart gift experience. When you visit a product page, the extension automatically checks whether this product appears on your groups' lists. If a match is found, you can reserve the item directly from the extension, without opening the app.

Important: for recognition to work, you must be on the product page itself. If you are in your basket or at checkout, it is too late — Olaf will not be able to identify the product. Remember to reserve before adding to your basket!

This feature is particularly useful for editors and members who are shopping for their loved ones. No more juggling between the app and the merchant site — everything is managed in a single interface.

Intelligent product recognition

When you browse an online shop, Olaf automatically checks whether the product you are viewing already appears on your groups' lists. It compares the product on the page with those on your lists and lets you know if it finds a match.

The more closely the product resembles the one saved on a list, the more confident Olaf is in its suggestion. You are always informed of the confidence level of the match, so you can decide with full transparency whether it is the right item before reserving.

Persistent and secure authentication

Log in to the extension once, and you are good to go! Your session stays active across browsing sessions — no need to log in again each time. Your credentials are never stored in the extension, for optimal security.

The extension is the most reliable method for retrieving product information. It sees the page exactly as you see it in your browser, which allows it to obtain more accurate and more complete results than any other extraction method.

The Olaf Wishlist extension is available on the three main browsers: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge. It is developed in compliance with the latest security standards for browser extensions.
