Notifications for every important moment
Olaf Wishlist covers all the important moments in your groups: group notifications (new member, member removed, role changed, ownership transfer), wishlist notifications (created, modified, deleted), gift idea notifications (added, modified, deleted), reservation notifications (new reservation, cancellation, contribution), and chat notifications (new message).
From your preferences, you can choose whether to receive emails or not and whether to enable or disable mobile push notifications for all these events. You stay in control of how Olaf contacts you, without being overwhelmed.
Real-time in-app notifications
In-app notifications appear instantly in the interface without a page reload. A counter badge on the notifications icon shows the number of unread notifications. Clicking it takes you to the chronological list of all your notifications.
In-app notifications are kept for 30 days. After that, they are automatically deleted to keep the experience fast and responsive.
Multilingual and customisable emails
Each notification can also be sent by email according to your preferences. You configure your notification preferences directly from your profile: you choose whether or not to receive notification emails. In-app notifications always remain active.
The email is sent in the preferred language of the recipient user. All emails include an unsubscribe link compliant with standards, allowing you to opt out in one click directly from the email.
Mobile push notifications
Mobile push notifications alert you directly on your phone, even when the Olaf app is closed — exactly like notifications from your favourite messaging apps. You will never miss a reservation, a message or an important event in your groups again.
Combined with in-app notifications that appear in real time when the app is open, push notifications give you complete coverage, no matter where you are.
